To bring out the possible solutions to handle something, to tackle the critical situation

  • This expression originates in the mid of 20th century. As we know, it is hard to grip and lift the object that has no handles because it needs more effort than usual. Therefore, if we put/attach handle to it, it will become easier to lift it up. This expression is used for such problems that need solutions to be sorted out. When you get a handle on any problem, you can solve it easily.

Maria is having bit confusion about this statistic assignment, but I’m sure she will get a handle on it.
