  • It is an ancient Greek myth that there was a giant family known as Titans. They always wanted to attain the authority over heaven. Zeus did beat them and became king and punished Atlas, one of the Titans. Zeus forced Atlas to carry all the heaven on his shoulders. Many of us may have seen the statue of Atlas struggling to carry world. Nowadays, when we see someone is very much busy and works extra than usual, we use this expression to refer such person.
