an idea, which is thought to be crazy or exciting; someone’s particular interest, concern or obsession with something
Etymology:
- This idea was taken during the 16th century and originally the idiom was ‘to have a head full of bees’. This idiom was later changed by a poet and used in the form present till now. This idiom basically explained a bee, which is stuck in head and difficult to get rid of. The bee keeps on moving here and there, making noise and doing certain actions. This keeps a person busy in attending the bee and trying to get rid of it.
